Freshman Admissions

CSUSM Freshman Admission Requirements

To be admitted to Cal State San Marcos as a PACE Promise first-time freshman, all students must:
  • Be a high school graduate
  • Have a qualifiable eligibility index
  • Have completed (or be in the process of completing) the comprehensive pattern of college preparatory subject requirements (A-G) which includes:
    • 4 years of English
    • 3 years of math
    • 2 years of social science
    • 2 years of lab science
    • 2 years of language other than English
    • 1 year of visual/performing art
    • 1 year of college prep elective
